I need a sign

When it’s too hot and humid to fold, you do other silly things instead.

(Done with Inkscape. The second sign is from an old FOCA shirt.)

Handy… I guess. Maybe you could label models that don’t have any diagrams/CPs with these, instead of having to write it all?

(By the way, I changed the picture on my blog, as promised :D )

I know what you mean… over here in California, it takes about twenty seconds of standing in the shade to start sweating. Thank god for air conditioning….

Do you know if it’s possible to diagram with inkscape? i.e., does it have dotted lines? I’ve been looking for good diagramming software for awhile, but it all costs so much *pout*. Although 22 megabytes won’t be easy on my dialup connection…

20 seconds? Here in the tropics, we don’t have stopwatches fast enough to measure the time it takes for us to sweat.

Inkscape works well for diagramming – it’s got all the standard features you’d expect in a vector graphics program. It has a range of dotted lines, dash-dash, dot-dash-dot, and you can also edit your own. Cupcake has done a few diagrams with Inkscape before, and I’m currently using it to diagram some stuff without any problems.

I really like the treemaker sign.

Ye, Inkscape works great. Be sure to read the tutorials, because when I first made diagrams, I hadn’t, so they turned out really sloppy…

I agree! Inkscape is perfect for diagrams and crease patterns, but you have to be careful when you export the pictures. The grid is also useful for drawing boxpleated CPs.
